The ideal oil temperature for frying is 350°F (175°C). Use a deep-frying thermometer to ensure the oil is at the right temperature, and work in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
**Frying Instructions:**
1. Heat about 2 to 3 inches of vegetable oil or canola oil in a large, heavy skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
2. Once the oil reaches 350°F (175°C), carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the pan. Do not overcrowd the pan—this can cause the temperature to drop and lead to soggy chicken.
3. Fry the strips for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip the chicken halfway through to ensure an even cook.
4. Once the chicken is crispy and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C), remove the strips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
