How to Do It

1. Make the Magic Paste
In a bowl, mix baking soda and water to create a thick paste. Add the vinegar slowly—it will bubble a little (that’s a good sign!). Stir until smooth. For a fresh aroma, add a few drops of lemon juice or essential oil like lavender or tea tree.

2. Apply Generously
Coat the inside of your cool oven with the paste—spread it on the bottom, sides, door, and even the racks (if they’re really grimy). Avoid heating elements. Use gloves if you want, but it’s safe and non-toxic.

3. Let It Sit Overnight
Here’s the beauty of it: you do nothing now. Just let the paste sit for 8–12 hours or overnight. It will gently break down baked-on grease and stains while you sleep.

4. Wipe It Away
In the morning, grab a damp cloth or sponge and start wiping. The grime comes off easily—no scrubbing! For any stubborn spots, use a soft-bristle brush or plastic spatula.

5. Final Touch with Vinegar Spray
For a final shine, spray a little vinegar over any remaining residue and wipe down one last time. Your oven will sparkle—and smell great, too.

Why It Works

This trick combines the natural power of baking soda and vinegar. Baking soda acts as a gentle abrasive and odor neutralizer, while vinegar cuts through grease and grime. Together, they work like a charm—without the toxic fumes or back-breaking scrubbing.
