Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. Brown the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until fully browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Mix until creamy and evenly blended.
  4. Prepare the dough: Roll out the crescent or biscuit dough and cut into small squares (about 2×2 inches). Press each square into the mini muffin tin to form a cup.
  5. Fill and bake: Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the meat mixture into each dough cup. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm: Garnish with a sprinkle of chives or a tiny dollop of sour cream, if desired. Serve immediately — they’ll be gone fast!

Tips & Variations

  • Add heat: Stir in diced jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce.
  • Make it vegetarian: Substitute seasoned black beans or sautéed mushrooms.
  • Prep ahead: Assemble and refrigerate uncooked bites a few hours ahead of time — just pop them in the oven before guests arrive.
  • Freeze extras: They reheat well and are perfect for last-minute snacking.
