– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp smoked paprika
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
– 1/2 tsp ground cumin
– Salt and pepper to taste

**For the Turf (Meat):**
– 1 lb flank steak, skirt steak, or ribeye (your choice)
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tbsp lime juice
– 1 tsp chili powder
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste

**For the Taco Toppings:**
– 1 small red onion, finely chopped
– 1 small avocado, sliced
– 1 cup shredded cabbage (green or purple)
– 1/2 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
– 1-2 limes, cut into wedges
– Hot sauce or salsa (optional)

**For the Creamy Chipotle Sauce:**
– 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
– 2 tbsp mayonnaise
– 1-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (adjust for heat)
– 1 tbsp lime juice
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste

#### **Instructions:**

**Step 1: Marinate the Meats**

Start by marinating the steak and seafood to infuse them with bold flavors.

1. **For the Steak:** In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Let the steak marinate for at least 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

2. **For the Shrimp (or Seafood):** In a separate bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper. Let the shrimp marinate for 15-20 minutes. This quick marination helps to enhance the natural sweetness of the shrimp and the smokiness from the paprika.

**Step 2: Prepare the Creamy Chipotle Sauce**

While the proteins marinate, you can whip up the creamy chipotle sauce. This sauce adds a smoky, spicy, and creamy element to the tacos that pairs perfectly with the surf and turf components.

1. In a blender or food processor, combine sour cream or Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning — you can add more chipotle for extra heat or more lime juice for a tangy kick.

2. Once the sauce is ready, set it aside to let the flavors meld together.

**Step 3: Cook the Proteins**

1. **Cooking the Steak:** Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of your steak and your preferred level of doneness. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing it into thin strips against the grain.

2. **Cooking the Shrimp:** While the steak rests, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp — they cook very quickly!
