The baking soda cleans and polishes the tiles with a single pass: use it like this

  • 1/2 cup of baking soda
  • Warm water
  • A spray bottle
  • A sponge, soft brush, or mop
  • A microfiber cloth for polishing

How to Use It:

Step 1: Make a Cleaning Paste
Mix baking soda with a small amount of warm water to create a spreadable paste. It should be thick enough to stick to vertical tiles without dripping.

Step 2: Apply to the Tiles
Using a sponge or soft cloth, spread the paste over the surface of your tiles. Focus on areas with grime buildup, soap scum, or dull spots.

Step 3: Let It Sit
Allow the paste to sit for 5–10 minutes. This gives the baking soda time to lift dirt and break down residues.

Step 4: Scrub Gently
Use a soft brush or sponge to scrub the tiles in circular motions. You’ll notice the grime loosening with minimal effort.

Step 5: Rinse with Water
Wipe down the tiles with clean water using a mop or wet cloth to remove any leftover residue.

Step 6: Buff for Shine
Use a dry microfiber cloth to buff the tiles. This last step brings out a natural shine, leaving your tiles clean and polished.

Bonus Tip:

For tougher stains or mold in grout lines, mix baking soda with white vinegar instead of water. The fizzing action helps lift deep-set dirt and disinfects naturally.

Using baking soda is not only effective but also budget-friendly and environmentally safe. With just one pass, you can restore the sparkle to your tiles and enjoy a fresh, clean home—no toxic chemicals needed.
