#### **Step 2: Make the Baking Soda Paste**
In a small bowl, mix the baking soda with a small amount of warm water to create a thick paste. Aim for a consistency similar to toothpaste—not too runny, but not too thick either. The paste will serve as the base for cleaning your stove top.
#### **Step 3: Apply the Baking Soda Paste to the Stove Top**
Using a sponge or a soft cloth, apply the baking soda paste to the surface of your gas stove. Focus on areas that have heavy grease buildup, sticky spots, or any visible stains. The paste will adhere to the surface, allowing the baking soda to do its work.
If your stove top is especially dirty, you can apply a thicker layer of the paste. Don’t forget to apply it to the burner areas as well, as these areas tend to accumulate food and grease.
#### **Step 4: Let the Baking Soda Paste Sit**
Let the baking soda paste sit on the stove for 15 to 20 minutes. This waiting time allows the baking soda to break down grease, grime, and food residue. The longer you leave it, the more effective it will be at loosening stubborn dirt. However, be careful not to leave it on for too long, as the paste can dry out.
#### **Step 5: Add White Vinegar**
After the baking soda paste has had time to work, it’s time to activate the vinegar. If you don’t have a spray bottle, pour a small amount of white vinegar directly onto the baking soda paste. If you have a spray bottle, fill it with vinegar and spray it over the paste.
The vinegar will create a fizzing reaction when it meets the baking soda, helping to lift dirt and stains. The fizzing action is completely normal and shows that the ingredients are working their magic!
