  • 1 cup (240ml) buttermilk
  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil

  • ¾ cup (180ml) fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
  • 2 tbsp orange zest (from 2 oranges)
  • ¾ cup (180ml) hot water or hot coffee (for enhanced chocolate flavor)

  • 200g dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 tsp orange extract (optional)
