Baked Parmesan Garlic Potato Wedges Recipe: Crispy, Flavorful, and Irresistible!
Potato wedges are a popular side dish, but when you add garlic and Parmesan, they become a whole new level of deliciousness. The crispy golden edges paired with the savory flavors of garlic and Parmesan cheese make these baked potato wedges a perfect accompaniment to any meal. Best of all, they’re easy to make and are baked, not fried, making them a healthier option without compromising on taste. Here’s how to make this simple and flavorful recipe.
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes (or any type of potato you prefer)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for added flavor)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven
Start by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature ensures your potato wedges get crispy on the outside while staying tender on the inside.
2. Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. You can leave the skin on for extra texture and flavor. Slice each potato into wedges, cutting each potato in half lengthwise, then cutting each half into 3-4 wedges depending on the size of the potato. Try to keep the wedges uniform in size so they cook evenly.
3. Season the Potatoes
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil until they’re evenly coated. Then, add the minced garlic, grated Parmesan, oregano, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together, ensuring the potatoes are well-coated with the seasoning mixture.
4. Arrange on a Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent the potatoes from sticking. Spread the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they’re not overcrowded. This helps them crisp up evenly during baking.
5. Bake the Potato Wedges
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through. You’ll know they’re ready when the edges are golden brown and crispy, and the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
6. Garnish and Serve
