– 1 tsp paprika (optional for color)
– 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

**For the Buttered Noodles:**
– 8 oz egg noodles or pasta of choice
– 2 tbsp butter (plus more to taste)
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2½ cups chicken broth
– ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
– ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional, but highly recommended)
– Fresh parsley, for garnish
